faust18 [17]
Positive connotations would be that there is as sense of normalcy and acceptance of everyday life.

I find it much easier to argue the negative connotations that is implies an underwhelming sense of being mundane and boring, it could like to low status socially or financially or it could also suggest an insignificance.

Is the passage of dialogue written correctly or incorrectly? "Did you see any dolphins at the aquarium in Baltimore " Sam asked.
julia-pushkina [17]
The given dialogue is written incorrectly. "Did you see any dolphins at the aquarium in Baltimore?" Sam asked. "They were beautiful." replied Brett, "But I wasn't close enough to take good pictures."

This is because we don't know that Brett is speaking until the end of the dialogue. Also, it should be a comma instead of a period in the statement 'They were beautiful'.

The correct way to write it would be:

"Did you see any dolphins at the aquarium in Baltimore?" Sam asked.
"They were beautiful," replied Brett, "But I wasn't close enough to take good pictures."

Recieved much acclaim and many prestigious awards is what kind of phrase?
klio [65]
The phrase is an object phrase that depends on other information in order to make sense. If the phrase were alone, without a subject, then the information would be insufficient to derive any actual meaning. Clarifying questions would have to be asked, including "Who" or "What" won the award.
