Answer:    Endogenic systems arise from forces within the Earth, while exogenic systems arise from forces above the Earth's surface

Explanation:  Endogenic systems or factors are those that, by their own power, cause processes and actions within the Earth. Exogenic systems are those that by their forces cause processes and actions above the surface and on the surface of the Earth.

Exogenous systems are driven primarily by solar energy, as well as by all forces generated by the action of solar energy, and consequently by the energy of the moon, etc. So, for example, soil erosion is caused by the influence of wind force, then the tide is influenced by the force of the moon, snow, weathering, running water, etc.

Endogenous systems are caused by forces originating from the depths of the Earth. Thus, slow and sudden movements of parts of the Earth's mass below the surface can be induced.  For example, volcanoes and earthquakes are sudden movements, while slow movements are tectonic plate movements that contribute to land formation. Slow movements can be horizontal, those that contribute to the formation of mountains, and vertical that contribute to the formation, primarily changes in continental building.

The distance from Alexandria to Syene is about 500 miles. On the summer solstice the sun is directly overhead at noon in Syene.
svp [43]

Answer:

Earth circumference is 25000 miles

correct option is 25,000 miles

Explanation:

we have given here Alexandria to Syene distance = 500 miles

the sun is 1/50th of the circumference of the sky (about 7°)

as we know that Earth circumference done by astronomer Eratosthenes in 240 B.C

He observe on a particular time of day ( in noon) during the summer solstice

and there was no shadow in Syene in Egypt so  This was verified that the sun must be directly on overhead and not at an angle to the surface of the city at that time

so

In Alexandria he measured the position of sun at the same time and found it to be nearly (1/50)th of a complete circle

it would be 7.2 degree (when we do \frac{360}{50} = 7.2)

so 2 reference points being 2 cities for the sun

all measure circumference =  the distance between these two cities × 50

and we have given 500 miles

so

Earth circumference = 500 × 50

Earth circumference is 25000 miles

correct option is 25,000 miles

A one-step conversion is sufficient to convert a temperature in the celcius scale to the kelvin scale, but not the fahrenheit sc
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

A one-step conversion is not sufficient to convert a temperature in the Celcius scale to the Fahrenheit scale.

Explanation:

Hello!

To convert a temperature in the Celcius scale to the Kelvin scale we required just one-step conversion, because we consider that the first scale derives from the second scale.

Celcius scale begins at 0 degrees (0°C), wich coincides with the melting point of the ice, and ends at 100 degrees (100 °C) with the point of water boiling point.

Fahrenheit scale determines that the freezing point of water is located at 32 degrees (32°F) and its boiling point at 212 degrees (212°F). This situation causes a 180 degree interval between the two points.

For this reason, to calculate how many Fahrenheit degrees has a certain temperature expressed in Celcius degrees, we have to multiply the X degrees Celcius (°C) by 1.8, and then add 32 to the previously obtained result.

°F= (X°C x 1.8) + 32
