You would choose B, because a narrative essay is about a personal experience, hoped this helped :)

The idea that best fits for writing a narrative essay is B) my experiences at Camp Wocasuto.

<u>A narrative essay is a piece of writing in which the author makes reference to a story</u>. <u>Sometimes, the author decides to write about a personal experience</u> and, in this case, it is possible for him/her to use the first person pronoun, that is to say "I". Generally, the author of a narrative essay includes details and descriptions. <u>The idea included in option b) is related to a personal experience; therefore, it can be used to write a narrative essay</u>.

Which sentences from the passage match each type of figurative language?
Elden [556K]

Answer:

Simile - Suddenly, a striped orange cat galloped toward Janine like a racehorse.

Metaphor - Tiger's purr was a chainsaw that sliced through the air.

Personification - After she closed the door, silence slapped her in the face.

Explanation:

A simile, is figure of speech, that makes a comparison between two things, using the words "like", or "as". We can see that in the sentence, <em>"Suddenly, a striped orange cat galloped toward Janine like a racehorse." </em>, that the narrator is comparing how the cat galloped, to the gallop of a racehorse.

A metaphor, is a figure of speech that makes a comparison, <em>without</em> using the words "like" or "as". We can see that in the sentence, <em>"Tiger's purr was a chainsaw that sliced through the air"</em>, that the narrator is comparing Tiger's purr to a chainsaw.

A personification, is figure of speech, in which inanimate objects, are given human attributes. We can see in the sentence, <em>"After she closed the door, silence slapped her in the face"</em>, that the personification is, silence slapped her in the face. Because we can't physically feel and touch silence, there is no way that silence could do the same to us.

What do you think the author of the article is implying when he says, "Marriage on Fire?" Does that evoke a positive or negative
IRISSAK [1]
It most likely gives a negative connotation because something being on fire is usually not a good thing. So if your marriage is on fire it is probably not going so well and may need to be put out or in other words Divorce

HELP PLEASE!! What is the purpose of writing down one’s thoughts, either in an essay or through poetry?
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

It helps you and the people around you.

Explanation:

When you write down your thoughts, you're expressing yourself. If you choose to publish your writing or show others, you're sharing your thoughts with others. Your thoughts can help them by being relatable, being inspiring, or being helpful. Even if you choose not to share your writing, you're still helping yourself psychologically because it is healthy to express and explore your thoughts and emotions, and it can help you understand them more once you get them on paper. It also helps you document your thoughts for future use.
