Find the volume of a right prism with height h=10 cm, if :

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

          So, to begin the altitude of a triangle is the line segment that starts at the top vertex and ends at the base of the triangle forming a right angle. If we want to find the volume of the of the prism the formula is Ab*h. This is the area of the base, times the height of the prism. This is true because a simple expination of volume is a box filled with stuff. To count how much stuff we have in the box the formula uses layers. Volume is just like a lot of 2 dimential areas stacked on top of each other. So taking the area of the flat base and puting it on top of it self 10 time will give you the same prism thats in the problem. Now we just have to apply the consept. Since the base is a triangle and we need to find the area. The formula is b*h*1/2. Base time height times 1/2. The reason for this is also simlar to area. A triangle is half of a square, so to find the area of a square the formula is L*W. Since a triangle is half of a square you just multipuly it by 1/2. When solved you will get 4*3.5*1/2=7, the area of the base is 7 cm^2. Now appling the topic above we stack the base 10 times, so 7*10=70. In conculstion the volume of the prism would be 70 cm^2.

Which of the following complete the proof above?
svp [43]

Answer:

(A)

Step-by-step explanation:

To be honest, since all of them are different, as long as you get the first one right, you will get the others right. A is your answer, for the following reasons:

Reflexive Property: The Reflexive property states that the mirrored version of itself will always be congruent with itself. Generally, to make it easier, they will write it opposite (as they did in the given proof):

line AC ≅ line CA

Amy gets a new kennel for her dog. A sketch of the kennel is shown here. If the roof is in the shape of a triangular prism (bott
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

Surface area of the roof of the kennel, including the bottom face is 58.96 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The image is attached below

For the triangular sides of the roof, area is

A = \frac{1}{2}bh

where b is the base = 4 ft

h is the vertical height = 2.24 ft

A =  \frac{1}{2}*4*2.24 = 4.48 ft^2

for the two faces we have 2 x 4.48 ft^2 = 8.96 ft^2

For the rectangular sections of the roof, area is

A = lh

where l is the length of the rectangle = 5 ft

h is the height of the rectangle = 3 ft

A = 5 x 3 = 15 ft^2

For the two rectangular faces, we have 2 x 15 ft^2 = 30 ft^2

For the bottom face, area is

A = lw

where l is the length of the house = 5 ft

w is the width of the house = 4 ft

A = 5 x 4 = 20 ft^2

Surface area of the roof of the dog kennel is

8.96 ft^2 + 30 ft^2 + 20 ft^2 = 58.96 ft^2

What is the volume, in cubic inches, of a cone that has a radius of 8 inches and a height of 12 inches? Use 3.14 for π , and rou
Doss [256]

Answer:

803.84 in^3

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all we have to find the base area

base area = radius^2 x 3.14 = 8^2 x 3.14 = 64 x 3.14 = 200,96 in^2

the volume can be find with this formula:

V = (base area x height)/3

V = (200.96 x 12)/3 = 803.84 in^3
