Yes I think he actually sleeps there because throughout the whole poem he talks about how he loves this girl an how beautiful she is. Also by the other Edgar Allen Poe poems and stories I've read by him he seems to talk about death and is very literal about it.

There is evidence for both views (that he sleeps there, or that it's his imagination) and I'll write them here.
a. He actually sleeps in his love's tomb because Annabel Lee was the only person he cared about, and her loss actually drove him crazy, so he has to spend every night with her. He can't bear being separated from Annabel Lee, "my darling - my darling - my life and my bride," so he lies down by her side every night. Also, they were children when they first fell in love, so after Annabel's death, his mind might have stayed a child's mind, and become so demented that he has to sleep in her sepulcher. In his demented mind, he believes that Annabel is still alive, and that he goes to sleep with her every night.

b. He doesn't sleep in Annabel Lee's sepulcher; it's cold and dark in there! This is from his imagination because the lines before it are all figurative (dreaming of Annabel, and seeing her bright eyes in the stars). The symbolic meaning of lying down by her tomb means that he wants to always stay by her side, and die when she dies (when he lies down in a tomb, it symbolizes him dying). This powerful metaphor emphasizes the poet's undying devotion and love toward Annabel Lee.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH JUST ONE QUESTION!!!
liubo4ka [24]

Answer and Explanation:

This question refers to the short story "Harrison Bergeron", by Kurt Vonnegut. Set in the future, the plot revolves around a strange type of equality imposed by the American government. People who are beautiful, talented, or intelligent, for example, are forced to wear handicaps to be ordinary. Harrison is a 14-year-old who wears several handicaps. One day, he escapes prison, rips his handicaps off in live television, and dances with a ballerina. However, they are both shot and killed by the Handicapper General, Diana Moon Glampers.

Imagine that Diana Moon Glampers had missed and that Harrison and the ballerina escaped. How might the story's plot have changed?

If Harrison and the ballerina had escaped, it is possible that the plot would develop toward their being chased down by the government. It is also possible that other people who were forced to wear handicaps might feel inspired by Harrison's action. Perhaps more and more people would begin to tear off their handicaps and join Harrison in his act of defiance.

According to the text Beowulf, what is the "unremembered, ancestral crime" referenced on page 11?
tankabanditka [31]

“The unremembered, ancestral crime” refers to the murder committed by Cain against his brother Abel, in the Judeo-Christian view refered in the Genesis in the Bible.

Can be interpreted both as the crime against another person (brother in humankind) as well as an interpretation of the evil of jealousy, among equals.

The Beowulf manuscript has according to some authors, its origins in pagan folklore which were unified by a Cristian copyist, who “imprinted” his view and related ancient thoughts to the dominant religious influence at the time: the Judeo-Christian perspective.
