Hiroshi spends 30 minutes on history homework, 60 minutes on English homework, and x minutes on math homework. One fourth of his

total homework time is spent on math. Which equation can be used to find the amount of time Hiroshi spends on his math homework? (x + 30 + 60) = x (x) = x(30 + 60) x(30 + 60) = x (x) = (30 + 60)

Answer:

x(x)=1/4(30+60+x)

Step-by-step explanation:

minutes spent on math homework= x

minutes spent on history homework= 30 min

minutes spent on English homework= 60 min

Total minutes spent on homework = x+30 +60

Also

x= 1/4(x+30 +60)

x= x/4 + 90/4

x-x/4= 90/4

(4x-x)/4=90/4

3x=90

x=30

Hence time spent on maths=30 min

total time spent= 30+60+30

                          = 120 min

1/4 of 120 min= 30 mins!

The total number of people who visitedthe ocean adventure park last year was 7,040,836

In 7,040,836, there are FOUR digits after 4.

To find value of 4, just put FOUR zeroes after 4

Thus, Value of 4 = 40000

Help me find the surface area of the candle
ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer:

Easy!

Step-by-step explanation:

1) To find the surface area of a regular triangular pyramid, we use the formula SA = A + (3/2)bh, where A = the area of the pyramid's base, b = the base of one of the faces, and h = height of one of the faces.

or

2)Multiply the side length of the base by the slant height and divide by two. Then, multiply by 4. This will give you the lateral surface area of the pyramid. Add the base surface area and the lateral surface area.

a. Write and simplify the integral that gives the arc length of the following curve on the given integral. b If necessary, use t
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

\int\limits^{\pi/2} _0 (1+4cos^{2} (2x)dx

Step-by-step explanation:

Arc length is calculated by dividing the arcs in to small segments ds

By pythagoren theorem

ds^2=dx^2+dy^2

then integrate ds to get arc length.

We are given a function as

y = sin 2x in the interval  [0, pi/2]

To find arc length in the interval

Arc length s =\int\limits^{\pi/2} _0 {1+y'^2} \, dx \\=\int\limits^{\pi/2} _0 (1+4cos^{2} (2x) )dx

Hence arc length would be

B) \int\limits^{\pi/2} _0 (1+4cos^{2} (2x)dx
