Read the passage from "Names/Nombres" by Julia Alvarez. “Say your name in Spanish, oh, please say it!” I had made mouths drop on

e day by rattling off my full name, which, according to Dominican custom, included my middle names, Mother’s and Father’s surnames for four generations back. “Julia Altagracia María Teresa Álvarez Tavares Perello Espaillat Julia Pérez Rochet González." I pronounced it slowly, a name as chaotic with sounds as a Middle Eastern bazaar or market day in a South American village. What is the most likely reason why Julia does not like to say her whole name? Her entire name is too difficult for her to pronounce. Her friends like to make fun of her Dominican name. It embarrasses her because it reflects her ethnicity. She does not like saying it, because it is too much trouble.

What is the definition of sport philosophy?
dsp73

Answer:

The philosophy of sport is concerned with the conceptual analysis and interrogation of key ideas and issues of sports and related practices. At its most general level, it is concerned with articulating the nature and purposes of sport. The philosophy of sport not only gathers insights from the various fields of philosophy as they open up our appreciation of sports practices and institutions, but also generates substantive and comprehensive views of sport itself. The philosophy of sport is never fixed: its methods demand an inherently self-critical conception of intellectual activity; one that challenges its own preconceptions and guiding principles continuously both as to the nature and purposes of philosophy and of sports.

Nastasia [14]
<span> The idea that love conquers all is an example of a universal truth.
Universal truths are universal because they are recognized everywhere in the world - every nation in the world knows that in the end, love wins over everything else. It is a truth that we have been taught to believe since we were kids, all over the globe, which is why that should be the correct answer.
