3 0

Answer:

During the second half of glycolysis , ATP is made occurs .

Explanation:

Glycolysis -

In the first pathway of Glycolysis in the cytoplasm , it breakdowns the glucose to release energy .

Glycolysis has two parts -

In the first part , the six carbon moiety glucose break down to two three - carbon sugar moieties , in this process two molecule of ATP are invested .

In the second part , glycolysis extracts ATP and electron of high energy from the hydrogen atoms and gets attached to the NAD⁺ , in this process four ATP molecules are formed by the substrate phosphorylation .

Hence,

In the net process , Two molecules of ATP are formed .

What is the role of ATP when large molecules need to be transported across the cell membrane against the concentration gradient?
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

b. the bond between the phosphate groups is broken to release energy

Explanation:

 • Phosphate groups are negatively charged => there is a pull between the two groups

=> it's easy to break this bond & ATP is unstable

=> ATP has a lot of free energy

 • breaking the bond between phosphate groups makes the molecules more stable (aka contains less free energy)

=> delta G <0

=> breaking this bond releases energy

 • the energy released by ATP is then used to transport large molecules against the concentration gradient

In addition to carbon, carbonate minerals contain
shutvik [7]
Carbonate groups contain a single carbon atom, and three oxygen atoms in a trigonal molecular geometry. The carbon atom has two single bonds to two oxygen atoms and a double bond to the third oxygen atom. Therefore, in addition to carbon, carbonate minerals contain oxygen. An example of a carbonate mineral is calcium carbonate, often found within rocks.
