Your neighbor has been listening to recent debates and asks you about your thoughts about the minimum wage. Right before you giv

e your answer, he begins telling you about his philosophy. Your neighbor believes that a set minimum wage is both illogical and hurtful to the people in lower wage jobs. By having a minimum wage you are saying that a large portion of the jobs that earn minimum wage are equal in value, which is improbable. Also, having and/or raising the minimum wage will result in people losing their jobs. By increasing the expenses of small margin companies like restaurants, companies will have to lay off some workers to cover the costs. Is your neighbor’s view on this best characterized as liberal of conservative??

Answer:

Conservative

Explanation:

The Conservatives believes more in personal responsibility, limited government, free market, individual liberty, traditional American values etc. They believe the role of government should be to provide the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals. They often focus on policies that empowers the individual to solve problems.

In this case, since the setting of minimum wage may make people lose their job, and illogically place people in the same wage category in the same work level: objecting it is a conservative philosophy

The importance of these communities was growing from the beginning to the end of the Middle Ages, having its peak during the XII-XIII centuries. The monasteries not only constituted as places destined to the prayer of those men and women who left everything to find everything; They were also places of social power, as they were run by members of the most powerful families in the kingdom, as well as economic due to the large amount of land that from each monastic community were put into operation. Finally, monasteries were also constituted as the major centers of culture of Christian Europe, since from its scriptorium a large number of documents about day to day were generated, in addition to the copy of religious books and classic authors. A refugee enters the European Union in Italy and is temporarily housed in Germany. He is then granted asylum and is permanently
Ghella [55]

Answer:

d) step migration across member states to a final destination.

Explanation:

Step migration is a pattern of migration which was first propounded by Ernst Georg Ravenstein in 1885. He observed that modern migration involves step by step pattern where migrants from rural places slowly moves closer and closer to urban places.

In modern times, transnational migration mostly occurs through step migration. For instance, international students are granted citizenship in the countries where they study if they prove to be skillful and productive. It is a step by step process.

Similarly, permanent citizenship is granted to migrants if they prove to have settled and worked in a member state country of a particular region or union. Here, the refugee entered the European Union in Italy and was housed in Germany for sometime. This shows that he/she has been living in Germany for sometime and therefore, gets asylum and citizenship in Sweden as these countries all belong to the same union and region.
