Answer:

Geologic time scale is a phase of geologic evolutionary history of earth to present.

Explanation:

 • It's a chronological time scale which shows the dating of rocks, and other events that took place on earth during that period. Primarily divided into eons, from the Haden to Archean to Proterozoic to Phanerozoic. All three are called collectively as Precambrian supereon and eon is divided into eras, period and epochs.
 • Precambrian starte about 4600 million years ago and ended in 500 million years ago. Based on carbon dating of rocks found 3.8 billion years ago life forms started to emerge, and evidence of plate tectonics motion can be 4280 million ago.
 • As compared to the phanerozoic era which started from 500 million years ago to present studied as an era of diverse land and aquatic plants and animals. Subdivided as Paleozoic Era, Cambrian Period, Ordovician Period,Silurian Period, Devonian Period, Carboniferous Period and Permian Period.
 • The original time scale has been altered to fit the scientist dating of rocks and geologic evidence that they have collected and is modified from time to time upon newer discoveries.

There are three kinds of plate tectonic boundaries: divergent, convergent, and transform plate boundaries. Describe the action o
nata0808 [166]

In which plate boundary two plates move towards each other and collide called convergent plate boundary. And causes devastation. E.g. Earthquake, Vulcanicity. In which plate boundary two plates move in opposite direction and do not collide called divergent plate boundary. Mountain building is the result of this type of plate boundary's action. In transform fault both the plates slide each other and causes fault in the sea floor.

Explanation:

Plate is a rigid and solid crustal block which is mobile in character and found in the asthenosphere in the upper mantle. It prevails in semi liquid and viscous condition where plates move easily. There are seven major plates and twenty minor plates. Plates are of two types. Continental plate and oceanic plate.

Where two plates collide with each other that area is known as plate boundary and the edge of plate is known as plate margin. Plate boundary is of three types: Convergent, divergent and transform plate boundary. These are also known as constructive, destructive and neutral plate boundaries.

human activities impact negatively on the quality of water and the flow pattern in the upper reaches of the blood river in limpo
harina [27]

Human activities such as mining, pollution, minerals processing, landfills, etc have an effect on the flow pattern.

Effect of pollution

It should be noted that pollution is usually difficult to control because it is often the result of human infrastructure around a river.

For example, sewage and effluent are discharged into rivers in some areas and this can lower the pH of the water, and hence affect the organisms.

Also, human activities such as mining, pollution, minerals processing, landfills, impact negatively on the quality of water and the flow pattern in the upper reaches of the blood river in Limpopo.
