Answer:

If a whole specie of organisms has to survive, they should must possess the ability to reproduce and adopt to environmental conditions in better way.

For example: If a disaster occurs or a condition of unfavorable weather occurs, the specie will survive even if only few members remain alive. Because those members will reproduce and regrow the community.

The reason is this that reproduction is not important for the survival of one organism, like organism will still survive even if he do not reproduce, but if a whole specie has to survive and continue, reproduction is most important trait.

Refer to Animation: Countercurrent Multiplication. What would you predict to be the effect on an animal species of having longer
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

The correct answers is: I would predict that animals with longer loops of Henle would be able to concentrate their urine more than animals with shorter loops, and thus they would more likely survive in desserts and other dry areas.

Explanation:

The Loop of Henle is a tubule system that connects the proximal convoluted tubule to the distal convoluted tubule in a nephron, the functional and structural unit of the kidney. Its primary job is to establish a concentration gradient in the kidney's medulla by creating a high urea concentration deep in the medulla using a countercurrent multiplier system that uses electrolyte pumps. Through this mechanism, water is reabsorbed to concentrate the urine and impede dehydration.

The length of the loops of Henle is of great importance for the countercurrent multiplier system - the longer they are, the more concentrated the urine can get. Therefore, animals with longer loops can survive better in habitats where there is not much water around.

lukranit [14]

Answer:

The best answer from the list of options is option D (They are colorless and feed on other, smaller cells)

Explanation:

Euglenas have cells that contain chloroplasts, which means they can make their food like plants through photosynthesis, and when it is dark where they can't get sunlight they can also make food by engulfing their prey through the plasma membrane and absorb them. Euglenas are heterotrophic since they call also feed on smaller cells. Their whip-like tail when viewed under the microscope, is colorless. However, the chloroplasts make them appear green and they can also come in red color.
