Well 100 ÷ 4 = 24 so 3/4 =75/100 and three hours before ten would be 7:00 then you take fourth minutes from the remainder ( 30 mins) and it had to go back an hour because you can't do 30-40 (don't stubtract in time but for this you can you just have to know that 60 mins= 1hr and don't EVER do this: 5:75 <- this is incorrect time.)
umm... 6:50?

What is 4x-2y=8 and y=2x+1 using substitution
Setler [38]

Answer:

No Solution

Step-by-step explanation:

4x-2y=8

y=2x+1

Make the first equation into where it says y=.

-2y=-4x+8

y=2x-4

Substitute either equation into the other as y=.

2x+1=2x-4   or    2x-4=2x+1

Switch terms around so they're with their like terms. Make sure it becomes the opposite when switching.

2x-2x=-1-4    or    2x-2x=4+1

0=-5                     0=5

Since x did not come back to equal an answer, this problem is not workable. There is no solution to it. If you were to do it a different way, there still would not be a solution to it.

Trevor has two fraction models, each divided into equal-sized sections. The
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

I will answer in a general way because the options are not given.

We know that the area of model A is smaller than the area of model B.

For model A, we have 72 shaded sections, out of 100.

Then the quotient of model A is:

72/100 = 0.72

For model B we have 10 sections, and x shaded ones.

Because model B is greater than model A, we know that:

x/10 should be larger than 72/100

then we have the inequality:

x/10 > 0.72

x > 0.72*10

x > 7.2

And we can not have more than 10 shaded sections (because there is a total of 10 sections) then:

10 ≥ x > 7.2

Then x can be any whole number in that interval.

the possible values of x are:

x = 8

x = 9

x = 10
