Which choice best describes the overall structure of the author's argument about paying college student athletes?
Scrat [10]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you forgot to attach the article or the text. You also forgot to include the name of the author or the title of the article.

Without the text, we do not know what is its content. Just you know.

However, trying to offer some help, we can comment on the following.

Recently, authors have divided their opinions about the advantages or disadvantages of paying college student-athletes.

The ones who are in favor of paying athletes argue that schools receive a lot of money due to TV agreements, ticket sales, merchandising, and concessions. That is why they deserve a "slice of the pie."

On the other hand, the authors that disagree and still consider that college athletes are amateurs, support their arguments saying that they are students, and the way they are receiving compensation is through their scholarships. And these authors say that schools invest a lot of money not only in academics but in facilities and equipment to have their athletes ready to compete and win.

Does the speaker seem surprised that the raven speaks to him? If he wasn't surprised, what would that suggest about the speaker
Nesterboy [21]
He was not surprised because he was already going insane. Since he was hallucinating that the raven was spouting words at him. He was already ill to begin with so it was not a surprise he thought the raven spoke.

Story with an twist (300 words)
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

Mysterious Stranger

Prompt: Write a story that includes the words sunscreen, camera, and tourist.

He really did look like a tourist, with a camera around his neck and a bottle of sunscreen sticking out of his tote bag.

The portly man sat on the terrace, sipping lemonade and pretending to look at a glossy cruise brochure. His sunglasses masked his eyes, but I knew he wasn't looking at the brochure: he hadn't turned a page for the last ten minutes.

As I brought him his clam chowder, he coughed up a "thank you" and looked at me briefly. I tried not to stare at the tiny scar across his left eyebrow.

I walked back inside with my empty tray, shaking my head. He looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place him.
