The Maya civilization's religion features the story of Popol Vuh, which is startlingly similar to the Judeo Christian story of the Garden of Eden. The Maya are considered as part of the Mesoamerican civilization. This is the civilization that is also known for its hieroglyphic script. In reality, this is the only known fully developed writing system prevalent during the Pre Columbian Americas.
