I just recently learned how to convert a repeating decimal into a fraction,
and I don't understand why I never learned this in school.

-- Take the repeating part. Write it in the numerator of a fraction.

-- In the denominator, write the same number of ' 9s ' as the number of digits
in the numerator.

-- There's your equivalent fraction. Reduce (simplify) it, if it can be simplified
and if you feel like it.

In your question, the repeating part is ' 54 ' .

Make the fraction  ' 54 / 99 '.

It can be simplified (reduced) to  ' 6 / 11 '.

So  4.54 = 4 and 6/11 .

X = 4.54545454

* multiply by a power of 10 to get the repeating fraction to the left of the decimal enough that the values to the right of the decimal end up canceling out (see next few steps to understand what this means) - in this case, multiply by 100:

100x = 454.54545454

Now you have 2 equations:

1) 100x = 454.54545454
2)        x = 4.54545454

*subtract equation 2) from 1)

100x - x = 454.54545454 - 4.54545454

99x = 450

*see now how we were able to subtract out the values to the right of the decimal . . .this makes solving for 'x' as a fraction easy to deal with, now divide both sides by 99 to isolate 'x':

x = 450/99

* now simply the fraction, quickest way to do this one is to divide both sides by 9, and it can't be reduced further, so you have your answer as a fraction

x = 50/11

A team won 11 of its last 25 games.what percent of its games did the team win?

They have won the past 44% of games. You can get this answer by dividing 25 by 11 and moving the decimal two places to the right.

3 Two-Step Inequality Word Problems 93 POINTS
horsena [70]

Problem 1: Joann can add 3 books or less.

The package weighs 9.5 ounces.

You can represent this in an inequality, where Joann wants the package to weigh less than or equal to 32 ounces:

7.5b + 9.5 \leq  32, where B = the number of books she adds.

You can then simplify this equation:

7.5b \leq  22.5

Joann can add 3 books or less.

Problem 2: Kierra can get less than 12 questions wrong.

Kierra needs more than an 82 to make her goal.

You can represent this in an inequality, where Kierra can only get a certain amount of questions wrong:

100 - 1.5q > 82, where Q = the questions Kierra gets wrong.

You can then simplify this equation:

-1.5q > -18\\

Kierra can get 12 questions wrong to get an 82, but needs LESS than 12 wrong to get above an 82.

Problem 3: Hunter must walk 11.7 miles per day or more to finish.

Hunter is hiking 52 miles over 4 days, and wants to make sure they can finish the hike after walking 28.6 in 2 days.

You can represent this in an inequality, where Hunter wants to walk the remainder of the hike in 2 days:

28.6 + 2m > 52, where M = the number of miles Hunter walks per day.

You can then simplify this equation:

2m \geq 23.4\\m \geq 11.7

Hunter must walk 11.7 miles or more to finish the trail.

Do y'all know the answers to these, they so confusing even if I look up videos on it plz help asap

I'm not going to give you the answer, but I'm going to give really obvious hints to you.
Supplementary angles are when two angles add up to 180 degrees.
Complimentary is when two angles add up to 90 degrees.
I'm not sure how you find angles m<y and m<v, I can't even see the letter m on the attachment.
There are two angles that are adjacent to <GXF, and you are free to choose which ever ones you like: <FXE and <CXG

Help me please I don’t know what the answer is
Anon25 [30]
I believe that B) m<3 would need to double. Since m<6 and m<3 are corresponding angles, they are always equal. So if 6 doubles, 3 needs to as well in order to be equal.
