From the photo below can someone solve question 50 please.
Pie
Question 50.

a. Description

You walk 0.5 miles during 10 minutes, stop and wait for the bus during 4 minutes, then ride the bus for 2 miles during 4 minutes.

b. slopes

the slope of each line represents the average speed of every track.

1) first track

slope = 0.5 miles / 10 minutes = 0.05 miles / minutes.

Given that the slope is constant, you walked at a constant speed of 0.05 miles/minute.

2) second track

slope = 0 => you didn,t move (you were waiting the bus)

3) third track

slope = (2.5 - 0.5) miles / (18 min - 14 min) = 2 miles / 4 min = 0.5 miles / min

means the speed of the bus was constant and equal to 0.5 miles / min.

Solve the following proportion for v. <br>8/5 = v/6 <br>Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
bekas [8.4K]

Answer:

v=\frac{48}{5}=9\frac{3}{5} \\

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{8}{5}=\frac{v}{6}

Swap sides:

\frac{v}{6}=\frac{8}{5}

Multiply to both sides by 6:

\frac{v}{6}\cdot6=\frac{8}{5}\cdot6

Group like terms:

\frac{1}{6}\cdot6v=\frac{8}{5}\cdot6

Simplify the fraction:

v=\frac{8}{5}\cdot6

Multiply the fractions

v=\frac{8\cdot6}{5}

Simplify the arithmetic:

v=\frac{48}{5}

For party decorations, you buy 6 rolls of crepe paper and 20 balloons for $11.90. After you start decorating, you determine that
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

Find out the  how much did each roll of crepe paper cost .

To prove

Let us assume that the cost of the  roll of crepe paper be x.

Let us assume that the cost of the balloon be y .

As given

For party decorations, you buy 6 rolls of crepe paper and 20 balloons for $11.90.

Than the equation becomes

6x + 20y = 11.90

As given

After you start decorating, you determine that you need more party decorations.

You buy 2 more rolls of crepe paper and 15 more balloons for $6.05.

Than the equation becomes

2x + 15y = 6.05

Than two equations are

6x + 20y = 11.90 and 2x + 15y = 6.05

Multiply 2x + 15y = 6.05 by 3 and subracted with 6x + 20y = 11.90

6x - 6x + 45y -20y = 18.15 - 11.90

25y = 6.25

y = \frac{6.25}{25}

y = $0.25

Put in the equation 2x + 15y = 6.05

2x + 15 × 0.25 = 6.05

2x = 6.05 - 3.75

2x = 2.3

x = \frac{2.3}{2}

x = $1.15

Therefore the each roll of crepe paper cost is  $1.15 .

What is the slope intercept form of this equation 6x+4y=8
hodyreva [135]

The slope intercept form is first y = mx + b, and once you use algebraic to get that you'd find that the slope intercept form of that equation is y = -3/2x + 2.
