Answer:

<u>A. The use of strong emotional appeals to persuade the audience.</u>

Explanation:

Using process of elimination, we can get rid of all the other options.

- B) is wrong because the speaker is in no way being optimistic, especially about college.

- C) is wrong because there isn't repetition of the words 'students' and 'education'.

- And D) is wrong because that simply is not the strongest part of the argument.

Ultimately, we can narrow it down to (A) and (D). (A) is simply more true, and is the better answer, as the statistic about the average student debt of a college student is more powerful than the credentials.

---Hope this helps!

Is the following a strong or weak argument? How do you know? Identify the words or phrases that tell you what type of argument i
Trava [24]

Answer:

Weak argument.

Explanation:

The argument given gives a lot of personal opinions and does not cite evidence. They also fail to use relevant information, and false information. I.E "In fact, every kid likes to play video games." This has no roots in facts and no cited evidence given to prove other wise. There's also a bit of passive voice misuse here, "<u>Some</u> college kids can win lots of different games." You shouldn't use words like some/many/may in an argument. It makes your point look weak, you need to be strong and affirmative.
