Why did carter create the department of energy apex?
aleksandrvk [35]

Jimmy Carter created the Department of Energy on August 4, 1977 as a result of the diminished oil supply which was offset by the 1973 oil crisis. The Atomic Energy Commission’s  increasing regulatory activity along with the energy crisis of the mid-1970s led to calls for enhanced coordination of federal energy policy and programs.  These led to the passage of the Department of Energy Organization Act that created the Department of Energy.
