Using the quadratic formula to solve x? + 20 = 2x, what are the values of x?
Sergio [31]
I am not sure if the “+” was supposed to go there or if that was just a typo, so I do apologize if this is wrong... but if it doesn’t belong in the equation at all, 20 = 2X is a fairly simply multiplication problem. You are to divide both sides by the 2 and you should get X = 10, because 2 goes into 20, 10 times; and the 2 goes into 2 only once, therefore the 2 now gets cancelled out.

Answer: 20 divided by 2 = 2x divided by 2 is now 10 = X.

Really hope this helps you, have a good day :)

After slowing down, the dragons could fall behind on their journey. What do the dragons need to do in order to ensure that their
liberstina [14]
The dragons would have to speed up to balance out the time that they slowed down.

The instantaneous rates of changes are all the individual speeds at given times. If you have some that are slow, you will need to have just as many that are fast to balance it out and ensure they have the correct average speed.

An employee works 22 days per month. if they work an average of 8 1/4 hours per day how many hours do they work per month?
Schach [20]

Answer:

181 \frac{1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

To find how many hours they work per month multiply the amount of hours they work each day by the amount of days they work in a month:

22 *8\frac{1}{4} = 181\frac{1}{2}

They work 181\frac{1}{2} hours per month.

Hope this helps :)
