Answer:

Bones

Explanation:

Bones are tissues that provide the body with rigidity. It also acts as the body's supporting structure.

The bone helps to maintain the body's shape at all times and provide a surface for the attachment of muscles. Joints are the points of contact between two bones. The bones, muscles and joints are very important in the locomotion(movement) process because there’s a synergy between them.

Answer:

Vertebrate locomotion results from the contraction of muscles anchored to bone tissue.

Explanation:

Vertebrates are the organism which contains spinal cord or backbone in their body. Locomotion is the ability of vertebrates due to which they can move from one place to another. The body of vertebrates comprise of bones which gives proper shape, support and helps in the movement from place to place. Bone is a type of hard tissue which is composed of calcium. In the body of vertebrates bones are moved with the help of muscles which are attached to it.

How can we predict which elements are reactive under normal conditions and which are unreactive?
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

We can predict or comment about reactivity of elements by taking into consideration their electronic configuration that imparts stability or un-stability to an atom.

Explanation:

Reactivity : It refers to the affinity of a substance to combine with other substance .

Elements are mainly of two types :

  • Metals and Non metals

In terms of metals or non metals it can be defined as tendency to loose or gain electrons .

  • On the basis of it ,we can easily make out or comment about the reactivity of element (metal or non metal ) .Like ,if an element has completely filled outermost shell or we can say have stable electronic configuration then it is already stable .Therefore , it won't react with any other element .
  • But, if its outer shell isn't complete then in order to attain stability it will combine or react with other .Hence , we can say it will be quite reactive .

Define cell transport
katrin [286]

Cell transport is movement of materials across cell membranes. Cell transport includes passive and active transport. Passive transport does not require energy whereas active transport requires energy to proceed. Passive transport proceeds through diffusion, facilitated diffusion and osmosis. The purpose of the transport proteins is to protect the cell's internal environment and to keep its balance of salts, nutrients, and proteins within a range that keeps the cell and the organism alive.
