Flappers, were the modernized American woman symbol, where women would wear clothing which was much more shorter, and concurrently much more convenient. This had gone against the tradition values of older generations because this had been stereotyped to be 'unladylike'. There had also been the push for Prohibition, which had been the ban on the consumption and production of alcohool. Even though this had ended domestic violence, it had started bootlegging (the act of selling alcohol illegally for a higher pay), and the usage of speakeasies (illegal bars).
