Progressive Era: 1890–1920s: Progressive Political Reform. The 18th established prohibition, and the 19th allowed women the right to vote. Such economic and political reforms under the aegis of an expanded government were necessary, the progressives argued, to restore the values of the American dream for all Americans.

What is the relationship between Chief Joseph’s refusal to accept the Christian faith and his death?
Airida [17]

Answer:

A. Chief Joseph was forced to travel to another reservation after shunning Christianity and became ill with malaria, which infected his heart

Explanation:

Chief Joseph, often referred to as Young Joseph, was a leader of the Wallowa band of Nez Perce after succeeding his father in the 1870s.

During his time, the majority of the group was removed with force by the United States federal government from Wallowa Valley to a smaller reservation in the Idaho Territory.

Eventually, Chief Joseph and a few others were taken to the Colville Indian Reservation in Nespelem, Washington. The place is far from both Wallowa and Idaho

This led him to shun Christianity and became ill with malaria, which infected his heart, and later died of a "broken heart, " according to his doctor.

Who was the first person to climb mount everest?
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

What issue discussed at the constitutional convention of 1787 continues to be a major concern in the US
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

The issue that was discussed at the constitutional convention of 1787 and is still a major concern in the U.S to this day is the balance of power between state and national governments. The reason why the balance of power between the state and national government is a problem is because the national government has the power to not allow states to do things if they say so. The national government, or federal government, controls the whole nation, meaning that they control every single state. State governments only have the power in their state, which doesn't give them any power to the nation. The federal government of the United States has so much power, that they have the control to decide what states do and don't do. This is a major concern because people believe that the state should have rights like the federal government, and not have to feel like the federal government has power over every government.
