The granny used to provide food for those soldiers stationed at the near and far side of the bridge. When the Golden bridge was to be blown away, she helped the guerrillas in their plan. later on, we hear from the narrator that she had started selling guns and ammunition to the guerrilla camps, that too by paddling on a small canoe. Such is the determination and hard working ethics of the grandmother. She is strong willed and is persistent in her work.
