Which sentence uses possessive pronouns correctly?
AleksandrR [38]
B. A possessive noun should have its instead of it's (which is a contraction for it is).
For A.  Diana is a singular noun and the apostrophe should come after the r instead of after the s.
For C. The duck would've dunked ITS instead of IT'S beak since it is possessive.
For D.  You do not need to put an apostrophe since theirs is already a possessive noun.

how does walt whitman’s use of anaphora in this passage from “song of myself” emphasize the ideas he is expressing?
tamaranim1 [39]
I am not sure what the passage you are referring to is, but anaphora means to use a word repetitively in order to accomplish some goal. Usually, this goal is to add emphasis to a certain point or to add artistic effect. They may also inspire certain emotions, such as passion, affection, or fear. Hope this helps.

What could be a reason Wordsworth wrote the poem, "The World Is Too Much With Us"?
denpristay [2]
Worsworth wrote this poem in the Romantic period. And it was written in light of his views that people are so invested in spending and earning, that they have altogether forgotten to appreciate the beauties of nature before them.
