The frequency of recessive deleterious allele q is 0.09 in a population of fruit flies. You examine many individuals over many g

enerations and measure that the mutation rate of (p) to (q) is 0.0003. What would the strength of selection against the q allele need to be for the frequency of q=0.06 to be maintained by selection-mutation balance?

How would you determine if a sample of gold is pure
Lelu [443]
Divide the mass of the object by its volume to yield the density of the object. For example, the object density = mass / (Vf – Vi). Compare the measured density to that of pure gold (19.3 g/cc) to determine whether the object is made of pure gold.

In prokaryotes, there are no membrane-bound organelles and no nuclear membranes. In addition, there are no mitochondria. Where a
muminat

Answer:

Prokaryotes lack membrane-bound organelle like mitochondria and chloroplast which is used by eukaryotes to synthesize ATP but ATP synthesis also takes place in prokaryotes. The electron transport chain and ATP synthetase of prokaryotic cells are embedded in the cell's plasma membrane of the prokaryotes.

The ATP synthesis in prokaryotes is similar to eukaryotes. NADH releases electrons to the electron carriers that are embedded in the plasma membrane which causes the translocation of H+ ions to the cell membrane outer face against the concentration gradient.

Then these electrons pass through the ATP synthetase which generates ATP for prokaryotic cell. So cell membrane is the physical place where ETC and ATP synthetase are present.
