Mathematics

8,24,30
step1: 8*3=24 24*1=24
so the common between 8&24is 24.
step2: 24*5=120, 30*4=120
so the smallest common multiple between all is 120. the other multiple are simply just multiple of 120 such as 120*2

Find the zero of the linear function by graphing f(x)=2x+3 and verify your answer algebraically
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

(-1.5, 0) or -1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer if -1.5 because the line hits the x-axis one time and hits it at the point of -1.5. The slope of the line is 2 and the y-intercept is 3, when graphed, you should also see when the line hits the x-axis

Suppose C is a 3 x 3 matrix such that det (C) = 4. Show that det (C+C) is equal to 32
Ber [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's consider C is a matrix given by

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}a&b&c\\d&e&f\\g&h&i\end{array}\right]

them determinant of matrix C can be written as

\begin{vmatrix}a & b & c\\ d & e & f\\  g & h & i \end{vmatrix}\ =\ 4.....(1)

Now,

det (C+C)\ =\ \begin{vmatrix}a & b & c\\ d & e & f\\  g & h & i \end{vmatrix}\ +\ \begin{vmatrix}a & b & c\\ d & e & f\\  g & h & i \end{vmatrix}

                  =\ \begin{vmatrix}2a & 2b & 2c\\ 2d & 2e & 2f\\  2g & 2h & 2i \end{vmatrix}

                   =\ 2\times 2\times 2\times \begin{vmatrix}a & b & c\\ d & e & f\\  g & h & i \end{vmatrix}

                   =\ 8\times 4\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \         from\ eq.(1)

                    = 32

Hence, det (C+C) = 32
