The length of the rectangle is = 72 cm

The width of the rectangle is = 56 cm

Area of the rectangle is = length*width

= 72\times56=4032 cm²

As given, the other rectangle has the same area as this one, but its width is 21 cm.

Let the length here be = x

4032=x*21

x=\frac{4032}{21}=192

Hence, length is 192 cm.

We can see that as width decreases, the length increases if area is constant and when length decreases then width increases if area is constant.

So, in the new rectangle,constant of variation=k is given by,

\frac{192}{72}=\frac{8}{3} or \frac{56}{21}=\frac{8}{3}

Hence, the constant of variation is \frac{8}{3}

Answer:

  53.6 mL

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount of acid is 16.2% of 331 mL, or ...

  0.162 × 331 mL = 53.622 mL

There are about 53.6 mL of acid in the solution.

The area of arizona is 113,998 and its population is 6,482505. The average state population density is 87.4 people per square mi
Harman [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the population density of AZ and then compare it to the US average of 87.4 people per square mile:

6,482,505

---------------- = 56.9 people per square mile

  113,998

The ratio of AZ's population density to the national average is:

56.9

--------- or 569/874

87.4

A.What is the slope of the graph?<br><br> B.Write an equation for the line.
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

Part A) The slope is  m=-\frac{1}{2}

Part B) The equation of the line is y=-\frac{1}{2}x-1

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A) What is the slope of the graph?

we know that

The formula to calculate the slope between two points is equal to

m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

Looking at the graph it takes any two points

(-2,0) and (0,-1)

substitute the values in the formula

m=\frac{-1-0}{0+2}

m=\frac{-1}{2}

m=-\frac{1}{2}

Part B) Write an equation for the line

we know that

The equation of the line in slope intercept form is

y=mx+b

where

m is the slope

b is the y-coordinate of the y-intercept

we have

m=-\frac{1}{2}

b=-1 ----> the y-intercept is the point (0,-1)

substitute

y=-\frac{1}{2}x-1
