Answer:

Marriage is an alluring idea for many reasons, both personal and practical. A personal reason is to fully express the love that you feel for another person. Marriage demonstrates your love for the person, and builds another solid foundation for the relationship to rest upon. Marriage also is beneficial for a number of legal reasons. Sharing property, belongings, and money becomes much simpler when you are legally bound through marriage. There are also lifesaving reasons to get married. In many ER situations, a patient cannot be operated upon until a legal member of their family is present to give the emergency response workers permission to do so. If you were present with your partner, but you were not legally married to them, you cannot grant the doctors permission to preform a lifesaving operation on them. Carrying on tradition and family heritage is another compelling reason to to married. In today's society, marriage is becoming less and less popular, as the younger generations wishes to opt out of what is seen as an impractical tradition. If you and your partner with to uphold this tradition and the ways that you were raised, getting married is an excellent way to do so.

How does Davis describe the relationship between growing up in Newark and returning to the city as a physician?
OLEGan [10]

In his memoir, Sampson Davis describes the experience of growing up in Newark. He tells us that he came from an impoverished background, and that he faced enormous difficulties and obstacles in order to become a doctor. However, even after he became a doctor, Davis believed it was important for him to come back and become a beacon of hope for other people who had grown up in the same difficult environment. He wanted to come back and show young people that it was possible for them to change their lives through education.

Which pair of sentences would be most appropriate to combine using a conjunction? Question 17 options: Grandpa says he was an av
lidiya [134]

The answer is:

My mother is very tall but my father is even taller.

Conjunctions join clauses, words and phrases and they are usually used to avoid a sequence of short sentences. For example, and, but, and or.

In this case, the most suitable sentences to combine with a conjunction like "but" are the ones whose subjects are related (mother and father) and whose predicates have a similar structure: both describe height and one has a comparative form of the adjective tall, so they can be easily joined.
