docker41 [41]

Answer:

C). Counseling is a linear process.

Explanation:

Counseling is described as the process of providing a professional assistance or guidance for the resolution of personal difficulties. It has primarily been divided into three distinct stages; initial disclosure stage, exploration stage(in-depth), and lastly, the stage of commitment to take action for resolution of the difficulties.

As per the question, the division of counseling process into three stages involve all the given reasons except for option C which asserts a false reason i.e. 'counseling is a linear process.' The other options(' Different client factors, such as motivation to change and responsiveness to treatment, are associated with each stage', 'conceptual significance', and 'various tasks and responsibilities' association in each stage') demonstrate the key reasons or factors for which the process has been divided into three distinct stages as it helps in promoting an effective counseling session and evoke remarkable results. Thus, option C is the correct answer.
