  • On the other hand, the pieces that represent individualized evidence are the second piece of paper that is torn into four square shapes because the four shapes would be individually unique.

  • With class evidence, it is difficult to pinpoint the differences between the four shapes.  But with individualized evidence, one can single out the uniqueness of some shapes.

Thus, the first cut pieces belong to a group and provide class evidence, while the second torn pieces do not belong to a class but provide individualized evidence.
