the feeling of being lightheaded is the same as when you feel you are going to pass out light headedness can be treated by lying down. vertigo is the feeling that you or your surroundings are moving but they are actually still.

Light-headedness is the feeling that you’re about to faint or pass out. you feel that surroundings are still when you’re dizzy unlike vertigo which is when you feel as if your surroundings are moving (feel off balance, spinning, tilting etc.) when it really isn’t.
