So an equation for linear equations is y=(m)x+b
you will have to divide 12000 by 49. 12,000/49=244.8 rounded up is 245. that is the m value so now the equation looks like this
y=245x+b
we now need to find the b value. there are two ways you can do this choice a) plug in the x value and y value in the ordered pair 49(x), 12,000(y) or choice b) you and do another equation. I will do choice a

sooo the x value will go after 245
y=245*49+b
then the y value
12000=245*49+b
now solve like a normal equation
