The meaning of the oxymoron in the above sentence is:

A. Helen did not want to face the sad news she received.

Oxymoron is a figure of speech in which two words which contradict each other occur in a line. The purpose of using this literary device is to dramatize the situation. They add wittiness and symbolism in the sentence.

In the above sentence, the word 'wide' and 'shut' are the examples of Oxymoron words. After listening to the tragic news, Helen's reaction to her husband's death has been described with the use of oxymoronic words. tomorrow

1. You are being chased through a heavily wooded forest. You are not quite sure who or what is chasing you, but you know that be
ehidna [41]

Answer:

B is the only reasonable option heres my opinion.

A is hopeful, you have a chance to survive but also not. and how are you gonna get down without making noise?

B is a chance to run away fast as you can, far as you can, as making such noise as you can but you have to think fast, a hole is easy to escape out of and you need atleast a 10 feet hole.

Pros and cons of both answers.

1-Pros

not much time needed to do

doesnt make alot of noise.

Cons-

can just look up and see you.

easy way to get found

2.Pros

easier chance of escaping alive

The pitch black-ness assists with the trap.

you can also hide near a tree or in some bushes.

Cons-

time consuming-makes alot of noise.

can step on you, (if laying down).

I'd prefer B but whatever floats your boat.
