Why was the heliocentric model so revolutionary

History

It was important because it proposed a completely different view of the universe and the position of the Earth and Sun within it. Prior to Copernicus, it was thought that the Earth was stationary and that everything in our galaxy revolved around it. However, the heliocentric model proposed a different view - it means that the Sun is actually the center of the galaxy, and everything within the Milky Way, including the Earth, revolves around that star.

blondinia [14]

Well i know for a fact that it is made out of black marble with 58,000 names on it ranging from KIA to MIA. My enitioal reaction as i waked up to it was " wow all these brave men fought for what they believed was right. they knew the cost of it yet still did it." it creates a atmosphere of sadness because thinking of all those men who sacrificed them self in the name of freedom and they left ther family's behind. i think the design is exilant because u can see every name
