Find the value of KL. KL= 3x + 2 and LM= 5x - 10

From the given graph, we can tell kl=lm

therefore,

3x + 2 = 5x - 10

3x+2-2=5x-10-2

subtract 2 from both sides.

3x+ 0 =5x-12 3x=5x-12

3x-5x=5x-5x-12

subtract 5x from both sides.

-2x=0-12 -2x=-12 (-2x)/-2=-12/-2

divide both sides by -2.

1x= 6 -12/-2=6

and of course the -2 and -2 cancel on left side leaving 1x.

x=6

KL = 3x+2 = 20 units

A medical plan requires a patient to pay a $25.00 copay plus 20% of all charges incurred for a medical procedure. If the average
natka813 [3]

It is stated that the total bill the patient would only pay would be the $25 plus 20% of the original bill. Therefore this would mean that:

25 + 0.2 * X = 200         ---> 1

25 + 0.2 * X = 800         ---> 2

Where X represents the original bill.

Calculating for X in equation 1:

25 + 0.2 * X = 200

0.2 * X = 175

X = 875

Calculating for X in equation 2:

25 + 0.2 * X = 800

0.2 * X = 775

X = 3875

Therefore the original bill ranges from $875 to $3875. The equality equation would be:

$875 ≥ X ≥ $3875

The difference between 48 and 13 algebra numeral expression.
Sphinxa [80]

Numerical expressions contain numbers, while algebraic expressions contain variables and numbers.

Numerical Expression

"Difference" indicates that we'll be subtracting 13 from 48.

48 - 13 = 35

Algebraic Expression

Variables represent the unknown number, in this case the difference between 48 and 13. Let d represent the difference between the two.

48 - 13 = d

35 = d
