The Smiths are sending out a batch of holiday cards. Emily signed 2/5 of the cards. Then Josh signed 1/9 of the remaining cards.

start with 75 cards.  Emily did 2/5 of the 75 cards = 30 cards (75 divided by 5 times 2)

75-30=45 cards

Josh signed 1/9 which you have to convert to irregular fraction (45 divided by 9 =5) so 45-5=40 left

Of those left Tatiana completed 20% (40*.20=8)

so 40-8=32
