President Harry S. Truman was the one that ordered the bomb to be dropped on japan. He ordered several more atomic bombs to be dropped to make it seem like the U.S. had an unexaustible supply of them ant to get Japan to surrender from the war. The atomic bombs were dropped in WWII.

with the idea of “social darwinism”, europeans believed that they were superior and that it was necessary to spread/show their superiority to african/asian continents and islands. for industrialization, with the production of more and better guns, introduction of steam transportation, and other things made it easier to navigate these continents and fight against the natives. also the want for money evidently influenced european nations.

In 1773 the British parliment passed the Tea Act. The Tea Act was designed to help the East India Company which was in financial trouble. Most tea at this time over 80 per cent was smuggled tea from the Dutch. Parliment allowed the East India Company to import and export tea tax free in England but imposed a tea tax on the colonists. Colonists objected to this new tax as the price of tea went up. One result was the Boston Tea Party where colonists dressed as indians in Boston boarded and English ship and dumped the cargo of tea overboard.
