Why do we have to understand government

Social Studies
1 answer:

Understanding government allows a citizen (YOU) to understand the structure of the world around you.

Have you ever wondered why a road is built in a particular place or why there is a pothole? That's a question that a state or local government will answer with help from federal government funding.

Do you wonder why you learn a particular subject in school? Federal, state, and local government decides what you learn and how you learn?

Want to drive before 16? Too bad, in most States the government has set the driving age at 16.

So, understanding government allows you to get involved in the process and make any changes you'd like to see happen!
