If you are talking about the poem about the rose growing out of concrete i just read that today and my answer may help.

Explanation:

In some ways i am like the rose because i defined the rules and i decided that i was going to be in control of my life not follow rules that have been set to control my way of life. I am like the concrete because i am there sometimes when certain rules need to be enforced and followed.

Here is the poem i am speaking about ><

Proving Nature's Law is wrong

It learned to walk without feet
