Hey!

So since it says that it is parallel to the line we know that the slope of both the lines will be the same. By looking at the given equation we can tell that the slope of the line is -4. Using this and the point that we are given we can find the y-intercept.

y = mx + b

5 = -4(1) + b

5 = -5 + b

10 = b

Since we now have our y-intercept and our slope we can get our equation:

y = -4x + 10

(20 points) A statistics practitioner calculated the mean and the standard deviation from a sample of 400. They are x = 98 and s
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

The P-value is 0.0234.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a statistics practitioner calculated the mean and the standard deviation from a sample of 400. They are x = 98 and s = 20.

Let = population mean.

So, Null Hypothesis, : = 100 {means that the population mean is equal to 100}

Alternate Hypothesis, : > 100 {means that the population mean is more than 100}

The test statistics that will be used here is One-sample t-test statistics because we're yet to know about the population standard deviation;

T.S. = ~

where, = sample mean = 98

s = sample standard deviation = 20

n = sample size = 400

So, the test statistics = ~

= -2

The value of t-test statistics is -2.

Now, the P-value of the test statistics is given by;

P( < -2) = 0.0234 {using the t-table}

What is the center of the circle for this equation:
(x + 3)² + (y - 2)² = 25
Ksju [112]

The formula for the equation of a circle is (x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²

where (h, k) is the center of the circle and r is the radius.

So we need to find the values of (h, k) in order to find the center of the circle.

If we simply line up the equation of our given circle with our formula,

we can see that -h = 3 or h = -3 and -k = -2 so k = 2.

So now we have our answer.

center ⇒ (-3, 2)

TV and YW are parallel lines.
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer: C, WXZ and WXU are adjacent angles.

Step-by-step explanation:

A is incorrect because TUX and VUS are vertical angles.

B is incorrect because YXZ and TUX have no relationship.

C is correct because WXZ and WXU are supplementary angles, thus adjacent.

D is inccorect because VUX and TUS are vertical angles.
