Answer:

According to Nigerian writer Chimamanda Adichie, letting a single story build her understanding of other people took her to construct prejudice and stereotypes. As a result, it is important to take into account more than one story to avoid creating superficial judgement regarding others. For instance, when she arrives to America, her classmates assume she does not speak English because she is African, and when she goes to Mexico, she realises that Mexicans are highly stereotyped and undermined by the media.

What are the three reasons that journalists will include quotes?
Natali5045456 [20]

According to The News Manual, the three main reasons journalists use quotes are:

1.- By repeating or typing the exact words the source spoke during the interview the writer avoids misrepresenting their intended message.

2.- When a journalist writes exactly the phrase or words spoken he or she allows the readers to see the connection between the ideas expressed and the way they were specifically expressed.

3.- By quoting verbatim a source, a writer allows its readers to appreciate the speaker's particular speaking style and translate some of that 'liveliness' into the written page
