Answer:

The correct answer is A) Conformation.

Explanation:

Proton pumps are usually molecules that are able to change its conformation in order to transport molecules from one side to the other. The amino acid sequence cannot be changed, because it would change completely the function of the protein. For example, the sodium/potassium pump changes its conformation in order to move these molecules from one side of the membrane to the other.

The early Paleocene world was slightly ____ then the proceeding Cretaceous period
zavuch27 [327]

The answer is 'cooler'. The Cretaceous Period was relatively warm and was experiencing global warming. However, a cooling trend was evident towards the end of the Cretaceous. The Paleocene followed the meteorite impact that resulted in the extinction of most of the dinosaurs. It is thought that dust particles in the atmosphere resulted in cooling during the early Paleocene.

Do you think that sharks and dolphins' similarities (body shape, fin, and flippers) are homologies or analogies
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

homologous* or analogous*. You spelled them wrong :)

I believe they are homologous because they more than likely share ancestry. They are underwater animals with the same... everything pretty much.

Double-strand breaks cause genomic instability and are thus potentially lethal to cells. They also greatly increase the risk of
rodikova [14]

Answer:

DNA double-strand breaks are repaired by two main pathways( routes):

i) Non-homologous end joining and

ii) homologous recombination .

Explanation:

All organisms suffer by double-strand breaks (DSBs) in their DNA.

DSBs caused by exposure to exogenous agents such as radiations, also by certain chemicals, and through endogenous processes, including DNA replication and repair.

Double-strand break repair:

The processing and repair of DSBs can lead to mutations, they can also lead to loss of heterozygosity, and chromosome rearrangements that can result into cell death or cancer.

DNA double-strand breaks are repaired by two main pathways( routes):

i) Non-homologous end joining and

ii) homologous recombination .

Homologous recombination- it takes place by means of replication, using the homologous strand as template. Homologous recombination therefore requires extensive regions of DNA homology in another DNA duplex, and there is no loss of genetic information normally.

Non-homologous end joining- It requires no homology with a second DNA duplex and no, or only a few base pairs of, homology between the two broken DNA ends.

Homologous recombination is the mainly preferred mechanism in yeast.

Non-homologous DNA end joining is more commonly mutagenic than homologous recombination repair.

After meiosis how do the daughter cells compared to the parent cell
Aleksandr-060686 [28]
You have to really compare your options. Fix the legs, the arms and the choices. If you have three green eggs and hams, then a 4x4, take that and help the mitosis stick with something like spaghetti. Thank you :)
