Is anyone good at Simplifying Radical Expressions?

Mathematics

All you really have to do is find the prime factorization of the term.  And for every pair of like factors you can move that term outside of the radical sign (for square roots)  If you were doing cube roots you would need to find threesomes of factors... for example..

20^(1/2)

pf 20=2*2*5  so you have two twos so you can simplify to 2(5)^(1/2)

108^(1/3)

pf 108=2*2*3*3*3 so you have 3^3 so you can simplify to 3(4)^(1/3)

 b: base
 h: height
 Substituting values we have:
 A = (16.5) * (6)
 A = 99 feet ^ 2

Which absolute value expression represents the distance between 3 and −5 on a number line?
lora16 [44]

Answer:

B) To represent  the distance between 3 and −5 on a number line,  the correct expression is  I(3) - (-5)I .

Step-by-step explanation:

Here the point A is given as 3 on number line.

Point B is given as -5 on number line.

To find :  IA-BI

The distance between any two point A and B is given as IA-BI.

Now, to find the absolute value:

IA-BI = I  (3) - (-5)I

or, IA-BI = I (3) + 5I  = I8I

= 8 units

or, IA-BI = 8 units

Hence, on the number line, the distance between -5 and 3 is 8 units.

And, to represent  the distance between 3 and −5 on a number line,  the correct expression is  I(3) - (-5)I .
