The supreme court mostly reinforced capitalist beliefs throughout its history by forbidding congress from interfering into the free market system which has existed since the early United States and its laissez-faire policies. Usually they made the economy better through their decisions but there were also times when they would support laws that impeded economic development if that development would not be constitutional.
During this era the scientific method changed a lot, because the goal was to prove a hypothesis by a logical way. Thus, many improvements were achieved like, technological progress, new civil politics, and the emergence of nations states.
