It seems that you have missed the necessary options for this statement to be complete, but anyway, here is the correct answer. The first of the two undeniable facts is that any localized population of a species has the potential to produce far more offspring than the local environment can support. this fact is important to understanding evolution because it means that <span>the population will ultimately overwhelm its environment, causing the environment to collapse. Hope this answer helps.</span>

A principal problem with inserting an unmodified mammalian gene into a plasmid and then getting that gene expressed in bacteria
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

introns will remain inside the bacteria

Explanation:

Introns  are the remains of an RNA transcript that do not involve in coding and hence they are trimmed off once the protein is translated from the RNA molecule.

Introns are found more commonly in eukaryotic genomes as compared to bacterial and archaeal genes

Group I introns have an ability to invade tRNA, rRNA and protein  through its intervening sequences however their insertion into genes is phenotypically neutral.

What would a biochemist call the result of chaining many molecules together

The structure of a typical antibody molecule

Antibodies are the secreted form of the B-cell receptor. An antibody is identical to the B-cell receptor of the cell that secretes it except for a small portion of the C-terminus of the heavy-chain constant region. In the case of the B-cell receptor the C-terminus is a hydrophobic membrane-anchoring sequence, and in the case of antibody it is a hydrophilic sequence that allows secretion. Since they are soluble, and secreted in large quantities, antibodies are easily obtainable and easily studied. For this reason, most of what we know about the B-cell receptor comes from the study of antibodies.

Antibody molecules are roughly Y-shaped molecules consisting of three equal-sized portions, loosely connected by a flexible tether. Three schematic representations of antibody structure, which has been determined by X-ray crystallography, are shown in Fig. 3.1. The aim of this part of the chapter is to explain how this structure is formed and how it allows antibody molecules to carry out their dual tasks—binding on the one hand to a wide variety of antigens, and on the other hand to a limited number of effector molecules and cells. As we will see, each of these tasks is carried out by separable parts of the molecule. The two arms of the Y end in regions that vary between different antibody molecules, the V regions. These are involved in antigen binding, whereas the stem of the Y, or the C region, is far less variable and is the part that interacts with effector cells and molecules.

What is the purpose of the hormone thyroxine, which is produced by the thyroid gland?
shepuryov [24]

The principal function of thyroxine is to stimulate the consumption of  oxygen and thus the metabolism of all cells and tissues.

Thyroxine is termed T4. It travels through the blood to the target cells and becomes converted to triiodothyronine  or T3.

T3 is the active form of thyroxine. T3 enters the target cell's nucleus binding to genes responsible  or involved  in the metabolism of sugar in the body. T3 stimulates these genes and in so doing metabolism (conversion of oxygen and calories to energy) is carried out by the cell, which also results in generation of body heat.

How are increased levels of “greenhouses gases” responsible for the Enhanced Greenhouse Effect? (long answers please)
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:An increase in these gases in the atmosphere enhances the atmosphere's ability to trap heat, which leads to an increase in the average surface temperature of the Earth. As a result, the Earth's average surface temperature is kept at about 15°C by the blanket of atmosphere that surrounds it.
