60 coins
30%=pennies
100-30=70% =not pennies
percent menas parts out of 100 so
70%=70/100=7/20=0.7
so we want to find 70% of 60
'of' can be translated to as multiply
0.7 times 60=42
42 coins=not pennies

60 x 30% = 18 so 60 - 18 = 42 so 42 coins are not pennies

Given that f(x) = 2x −5, find the value of x that makes f(x) = 15.
svp [43]
F(x)  = 2 x - 5

15 = 2 x - 5

2 x - 5 = 15

2 x = 15 + 5

2 x = 20

x = 20 / 2

x = 10

hope this helps!

A bag contains 4 red marbles and 1 yellow marble. What is the probability of drawing a red marble, then replacing that marble, t
ki77a [65]

Answer:

16/25

Step-by-step explanation:

We have 4 red marbles and a total of 4 + 1 = 5 marbles.

Probability is simply (# times a specific event can occur) / (# times any event can occur).

Here, the probability of drawing a red marble is: 4/5 (because there are 4 red marbles to choose from and a total of 5 marbles to choose from).

We replace the marble afterward, so the probability that the second pick is also red would still be 4/5.

Then, multiply the two fractions together: (4/5) * (4/5) = 16/25.

Hope this helps!

2 3/4 quarts equals how many pints
mr Goodwill [35]
The answer to this question would be: 5 1/2 pints

A quart is a unit that used for volume. A quart would be equal to 2 pints or 1/4 of gallons. A quart is also roughly equal to 4 cups. In this question, you asked to convert quarts into pints. Then the calculation would be:

Quart = 2 pints
2 3/4 quart = 2 * (2 3/4 pints)= 4 6/4 pints = 5 2/4 pints= 5 1/2 pints
