The theme in this poem talks about the hardships of life. Here the author shows a father who is explaining to his son that his life wasn't easy. This is evident when he compares life with stairs and how the stairs are filled with "splinters, And boards torn up, And places with no carpet on the floor" and how life wasn't as smooth as a "crystal stair". Then he states no matter how hard it was to go through those tacks and splinters barefoot he was able to keep on climbing. Then the father tells his son not to turn back because he himself is still climbing.

Younique is writing an essay in favor of recycling to reduce garbage in the ocean. Which piece of evidence is least relevant to
Tema [17]

Answer:

1. Litter is not only ugly, but also harmful to animals in national parks

Explanation:

When writing an essay in support of a point, you have to select salient points that are consistent and relatable to what you're writing about..

Younique is writing an essay in support of recycling to reduce garbage in the ocean and therefore she has to bring points that relates to side effects of throwing garbage in the ocean, how easy it is to recycle garbage and other necessary points.

The truly odd one out is option A which says "Litter is not only ugly, but also harmful to animals in national parks".

This has no direct connection to effect of garbage in the ocean or recycling so this is the piece of evidence with the least relevance to her argument.

Which two sets of lines in this excerpt from John Milton's Paradise Lost show that Satan acknowledges the goodness of God, despi
kozerog [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is "<em>In them Divine resemblance, and such grace The hand that formd them on their shape hath pourd. Ah gentle pair, yee little think how night Your change approaches, when all these delights Will vanish and deliver ye to woe"</em>

Explanation:

In these lines, Satan indicates that Adam and Eve have divine resemblance, similar to God and his grace. By doing this, Satan is acknowledging that both Adam and Eve, and God have goodness. Since he created them and formed them on his shape, he poured grace into them. Thus, it is inferred that God gave them these traits and is good.
