7 - 5n = 42

- 5n = 35

n = - 7

Since a negative times a positive makes a negative you can change your equation to 7 - 5n=42. You can now subtract 7 from both sides to get -5n = 35. Next get divide -5 on both sides giving you n = -7.

Given: AD and EG, transversal CH ∠ABC and _______ are same side exterior angles
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

∠EFH

Step-by-step explanation:

If AB and CD are parallel lines and EF is a transversal line, then angles formed on the same side of the transversal line and are exterior to the parallel lines are same side exterior angles.

Same side exterior angles theorem states that same-side exterior angles are supplementary.

From the image attached below:

∠ABC and ∠EFH are same side exterior angles, therefore:

∠ABC + ∠EFH = 180°

What is the difference of the polynomials [m²n²-7]-(mn+4)
AleksAgata [21]
You can do addition and substraction operations with polynomials similarly as with simple real numbers.

First of all you have to open brackets and then you can add numbers (-7-4=-11). Then the result is following:
(m^2n^2-7)-(mn+4) =m^2n^2-7-mn-4=m^2n^2-mn-11

Which term of the arithmetic sequence 1, 5, 9, 13, ... is 169?
It is the
th term.
sveta [45]

Answer:

43rd term

Step-by-step explanation:

Arithmetic sequences are basically linear functions, so the same value is added every time. So, knowing that Asub1 is equal to one, and Asubn is equal to 169 we can take 169-1 and divide by our common difference. This is four as 5-1=4 and 9-5=4.

So, (169-1)/4=42.

This is however 42 terms after Asub1, so this would be the 43rd teen of the sequence!
