John Chen can purchase basic loaves of white bread from a local bakery for $1.50 each and sell them in his deli for $3.00 each.
masya89 [10]

Answer: The difference in daily profit by selling white bread instead of speciality bread is $22.

Daily Profit from selling white bread:

Selling Price per loaf $3 .0

Cost per loaf $1.5

Profit per loaf 1.5 ( 3.0 - 1.5)

No. of units sold per day 52

Profit per day 52 * 1.5 = 78

Daily Profit from selling specialty bread:

Selling Price per loaf $4.50

Cost per loaf $2.50

Profit per loaf 2 ( 4.5 - 2.5)

No. of units sold per day 28

Profit per day 28 * 2 = 56

Hence the difference in daily profit is 78 - 56 =22

Adriana Corporation manufactures football equipment. In planning for next year, the managers want to understand the relation bet
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

$50.57 ; $175,573.6

Explanation:

The computation of the fixed and variable portions of overhead costs based on machine-hours using high low method is shown below:

Variable cost per hour = (High Overhead cost - low overhead cost) ÷ (High machine hours - low service hours)

= ($581,145 - $503,775) ÷ (8,020 hours - 6,490 hours)

= $77,370 ÷ 1,530 hours

= $50.57

Now the fixed cost equal to

= High overhead cost - (High machine hours × Variable cost per hour)

= $581,145 - (8,020 hours × $50.57)

= $581,145 - $405,571.4

= $175,573.60

arsen [322]
I think i is not right to base the productivity of the fisherman in per hour basis because fisherman goes to the sea and catch fish not on a daily basis. maybe the correct way to express it is per trip they go to the sea. because if it hourly basis then the productivity is very small.

Nick inherited $150,000, which he immediately invested into a fund that will earn 10% per annum. if interest is compounded semi-
UkoKoshka [18]

First calculate the effective interest rate because the problem says that the interest is compounded semi-annually. The formula for effective interest rate is ieff= [(1+i/n)^n] – 1. The calculated effective interest rate is 10.25%. The value of the investment in 5 years could be calculated using the equation, FV= PV (1+i)^n. The value of the investment then would be $244,334.194.
