English

slava [35]3 years ago

Monogenesis theory believes in the single origin of language which means that there is only one origin pidgins and creoles from the Europe. It is more focused on the origin of European-based creoles and pidgins and not on the worldwide pidgins and creoles. More importantly, it believes that the reason for the similar structures of the pidgins and creoles all around the world is based on the fact that some grammatical structure of WAPP is retained while the lexicon was changed and Portuguese words were replaced by other words from other European countries languages.

Which type of detail is used to support the main idea of the paragraph above ("red giants are the largest type of star")?
Anna007 [38]

The details used are facts and statistics, as shown in the first answer option.

Why are facts and statistics important to support the claim?

 • Because they show substantiated data about the claim.
 • Because they show that the claim has been tested and proven.

The use of facts and statistics serves as textual evidence for the claim shown in the paragraph.

The facts can be seen in the sentences that explain what a Red Giant is, and the statistic is seen in the sentence that shows the size of this star compared to the sun.

nata0808 [166]

Since the excerpt was not mentioned in your question, I can try to answer you in a general way. “Stone Fox” is a short novel published in 1980 by John Reynolds Gardiner. The story is about a little boy named Willy who enters a dog sled race in order to win $500 to pay back the taxes on his grandfather's farm. The book is about determination, courage and never giving up. Willy faces several challenges and obstacles that a child his age shouldn’t have to experience but he still believes he can win the race anyway and he won’t give up until he gets that prize.
